The Hotel Recort is located in Colfosco, Alta Badia, right in front of the Dolomites of the Sella Group and the slopes of the Ju de Frara/Passo Gardena mountain pass. A truly magical place that has become one of the most sought-after destinations in the Dolomites – thanks to Gottfried, who founded the cable car company Impianti Colfosco. And it is in this very place that we will celebrate the opening of our big little hotel, which is dedicated to Gottfried and named “Recort” – “reminiscence” in Ladin, in December 2024. Gottfried’s dream
Let’s take a journey through time, back to the late 1950s. Back into a very different world to the one we know today. Gottfried, who became an orphan at an early age, grew into a man who was always on the move. A man, who never allowed himself to be discouraged by poverty and hard work but continued to pursue his dreams until they became tangible. As solid as the rocks of the Dolomites. And as a real trailblazer, he created what is now one of the driving forces of tourism in Alta Badia: the cable car company Impianti Colfosco, which also contributed to the birth of the Sellaronda legend.

Realising our “Hotel Recort project” comes down to one thing: the commitment of a company devoted to dynamic, thus living up to the values of its founder.

The Hotel Recort offers a moderate number of rooms, which also reflects the quiet and discreet atmosphere that we want to convey. This does by no means mean that we don’t like the loud and lively energy of children, but rather that we want to grant our guests moments of utter peace and privacy.
